Labuan Bajo / RincaI'm supposed to have a tour booked for later this week, but they seem very disorganised and I'm not sure anything has actually been booked. We were supposed to be going to LB for 2 nights and going over to Rinca to see the dragons. At the moment all I know for sure is that we've got flights booked. I'm still trying to find out if they are organising accommodation or if I'm supposed to do it myself, but virtually everything available to book online is already full.
If the tour falls through, are we OK to just turn up at LB and sort it out there? Is it likely that there will be accommodation available once we are there? What about finding a boat and guide for Rinca on the day?

1Both of those things will be no problem..if you are not too fussy about accommodation (the top TA recommended places, like Golo Hilltop or Bayview gardens, will probably be full, but there are plenty of other options).
Easy to find a boat to go to Rinca..just walk down the street or around the harbour they will find you!

2Thanks very much for the info. Is there a particular area we should head to for somewhere to stay? Will there be touts at the airport? Any recommendations/suggestions for somewhere that might have rooms? It doesn't need to be fancy, just clean with a fan., Thanks very much for the info. 3Don't know about the airport..I've never flown into Labuanbajo. But usually there are touts at the airport in Indonesia.....certainly the taxi drivers will all know a place where you can stay ;-)
You will find them on the main road in Labuan too.
Places that might well have a room,if you want to look yourself rather than use a tout...the Gardena (backapckers place),Mutiara (also cheap and cheerful),Green Hill (a bit more upmarket)..there are others too,on the main strip or up the hill behind it.Plus homestays etc.
