5Agree with the above. One temple you could perhaps include is the Po Lin for the huge Buddha. You get there by cable car.
Also, at the foot of the Peak tramway is a big park with a huge walk in aviary. At the top of the Peak do go on the signposted circular walk, about a mile long with great views and much is within woodland

Thanks for coming to this branch.
I was one of those who reported #8 as spam (tourismaesthetics), although I admit I did not click on the link to look closely. I've clicked now, and while there is no advertising on the site, there is also not much which is helpful to someone travelling to Hong Kong for the first time, nor does the blog appear to be personal. But, level of helpfulness is not really related to whether something is spam or not. So, I can see why it can stay.
I did not report the link to timeout.com.hk in #7, although that is a website supported by advertising, and the actual front page of the link is more of interest to people who live in Hong Kong rather than travelling to the city. It does have some good articles though - for example on this page: http://www.timeout.com.hk/around-town/ Again, I can see why it could stay.
There is not that much spam that gets on the China branch (or at least I don't see it before it is zapped), and most is easily recognisable as it's from Chinese tour companies. As far as I can see, thorntree is still relying on regulars to report spam that gets posted. Basically, I think you would like us to look a bit more at the link before reporting something as spam. Am I right?
