Things to do in Pecs?I will be in Pecs for up to 2 weeks for a business trip, meaning I will probably have one weekend available for sightseeing.
Did some light reading on Pecs and it sounds it is like an interesting place to visit, but I am wondering is there any sort of exercusion from Pecs to nearby cities that I can look forward to during the weekend?
Nearby small cities like Siklos or Villany does not seems to be interesting, well at least to me. Budapest or Szeged or Zagreb is the next nearest cities that I am interested in but it will take a lot of travelling time to go either of those cities from Pecs for a weekend exercusion.
Would it be worthwhile to go either Budapest/Szeged/Zagren on friday night for the weekend and returning to Pecs on Sunday night. Or I should just remain in Pecs and spend my weekend there instead?
Suggestions are welcome.

1Well, I can't imagine that you must work from 8-20 every day, so I presume you'll have a couple of hours in the afternoon or evening on certain days to look around Pécs. That said if you want to see Pécs properly it's worth to devote 1 day of the weekend to the city.
Villány and Siklós can hardly be called towns let alone cities. :)
Villány is only interesting if you like wine tasting and the castle in Siklós is no big deal.
Will you have a car/rent one or you must rely on trains/buses? I'm only asking, because your options will be somewhat limited if you don't have a car.
If you've never been there, than Budapest is the obvious choice and it's easy to reach it from Pécs on frequent trains.
Zagreb is also a good idea, but it takes more time to get there by train and there is only train/day. By car it's easier.
If you have a car you could also go to Osijek and Novi Sad.
Don't miss the Csontváry Museum in Pécs!

2Yes you are right that I will probably have some time to explore Pecs as I won't be working until late in the evening. Also as I will be arriving on a Sunday afternoon, I will have probably some time to do some sightseeing as well.
I'm will be depending on train and busses as means of transportation. Budapest is of course my top choice but I was wondering if 2 days is way too short to spend in Budapest, there is so much to see in Budapest. There is a possibility I would cut short my business trip in Pecs and spend 3-4 days in Budapest, at least that is that is what I am hopeful.
Therefore counting on the probability I am able to spend 3-4 days in Budapest on the end of my trip, I am looking more towards another city in Hungary such as Szeged or from neighbouring country (Zagreb) for my weekend exercusion. I would prefer to go a medium/big size cities with more museums or attraction to see.

4You can go to Szeged by bus, unfortunately it's not really possible by train.
If you choose Zagreb you must spend at least 2 nights there, because the only train from Hungary to Zagreb arrives in the evening and comes back at 10am.
Don't go to Harkány! That spa is in very bad condition and hardly any Hungarians go there anymore.
