Thailand teeth and babysitters??Hi all,
I'm looking at goin to thailand next year and wanted to find the best place to get teeth replaced, capped, whitened. . I need the works!!
I also have children, I've hard people talk about babysitters over there but am unsure how it works and if I'd feel comfortable leaving my kids with strangers, has anyone done this??

2Leave the kids home. They are not accessories like a handbag. Kids are like anchors anyway. Assuming you are traveling alone, what do you do when you are out nightclubbing or hitting pubs? Or want to swim at a beach - leave them on the towel or in the hotel?
The money you save on plane tickets will give you more money for "extras" you might need!
It will take some time just to get some of the dental work you want done. You may need adjustments too. You may be in severe pain. Know what you want done and how it is done. Know the drawbacks and cautions concerning this dental work. (Your hometown dentists may have free referrals that explain everything.)

4OP, ignore #s1 and 2. You arent the first and certainly wont be the last to take children to Asia. We made friends with an English family and I babysat one of their children while the parents took their other child and my son to a music festival on Koh Samui. You might be lucky and meet another family who would oblige on a reciprical basis.
Might have helped, OP if you'd said how old the children are.

Believe me when I say go it get done! I thought I had rotten teeth until I saw the x-ray...then I was horrified...I think I stopped one to many times at Dr Sunil's booth at soi Rambuttri near Koh San Rd. and the nice young lady came out to chat
She explained that the first visit was free except for the x-ray which was 1000 baht $30 and if you decide to keep going it is part of the bill
I was shocked....when Dr Sunil told what needed to be done...which I mostly figured by my self...and grabbed the calculater and the pad of paper and starting to write down numbers....my worst fears almost came true..
When he told me how much a new set of teeth would cost...good thing I was laying down...or I would have fallen over!
I expected to pay at least twice as much,
The hardest part of the whole experience is learning how to smile again. I spent so many years with my mouth shut because I was ashamed of my teeth. I have a few new pix...I think I look like moron....but I have great teeth.
Go get them done
Don't be a coward like me!
