Travel the last week in November and first week in DecemberHi, could someone advise me on travel in and around Cape Town during the last week of November and the first 10 days of December? I understand that children are in school until mid-December when the holiday season begins in earnest until the second week in January. Are there a great many tourists from mid-December until mid-January? The fact that the winds are quite extensive during this period, is this reason not to travel to Cape Town and the Coastal areas? Other significant reasons to postpone a trip to CT during this time?
Any thoughts from a knowledgable traveller would be most appreciated.
Thanks so much,

1From my experience the actual worst period is the middle week in Dec leading up to xmas, many SA residents flock to the cape after that it's back to normal which is not bad really. Yes it can be windy depends where you are, it might be windy on the atlantic side but not around false bay & vice-versa. The whales might still be around end of Nov early Dec.

2Do you want to be there when it is buzzing?
The tourist season supposedly starts in mid November but I was there end of Nov and into early December and it was still pretty quiet--which is what I like. And it was not windy at all.
