Best way to attend Oktoberfest "Fiesta de Cerveza"Hey, I am currently studying in Buenos Aires and want to make my way to Cordoba for Oktoberfest this year. I was wondering if anyone can offer any advice. I have seen some packages, out there that seem enticing, but I want to make sure I get my pesos worth. I was thinking about renting an apartment with some friends in cordoba and then make our way to Villa general belgrano, however I notice it is a little bit outside the city. Does anyone know if there are shuttle services during oktoberfest between Cordoba and Villa general belgrano? Also, how does one go about buying tickets for the beer garden?

I went to Oktoberfest last year, and might suggest that you do not need a tour to really enjoy it. As for the "nuts and bolts" of getting there.....
There are many, many buses from Cordoba to VB, Check out centraldepasajes.com.ar for more info. VB is about 2 hours from Cordoba, over a road with a LOT of curves. (The return trip might be a little rough if you happen to be hung-over!) I suggest that you include a Sunday visit to see the parade in town. From the terminal in VB, you will find it an easy walk to the main area. Once you are there, it will be obvious where to buy your entrada.
I suggest that you buy your return tickets to Cordoba when you arrive in VB....to save a hell of a long walk back if the buses are full!
If you cannot find reasonable accommodations in CBA, check out Rio Cuarto. Buena suerte!
