One of the most fascinating air approaches - LanzaroteIf you want to take or view beautiful photos of airplanes over the beach, you must come to Lanzarote. One of the most fascinating air approaches that you can enjoy. At Lanzarote, Canary Islands. ... A real spotters place. The “ St. Maarten's biggest rival”:

2Any shot of taking off from the Western facing runways over the beach at LAX, and any version of the MD-800's series because of the height they achive because of their climbing rate are my personal fav's of take off''s anywhere.

3I don't recall landing at Lanzarote as particularly memorable, but perhaps we were approaching from the wrong direction.
Landing at Amsterdam Schiphol when the tulip fields are in full bloom is impressive too.
Or what about Madeira's airport, where the runway is built out on pillars over the ocean.

5I must say i share Aribo's impression on Lanzarote, also regarding the Madeira airport which btw has a very short landing strip.
My most memorable landings still are the ones in the former Hong Kong Kai Tak airport in Kowloon, centre of the city. I've had the luck (but also the fear) of landing there 3 times coming from the right direction so the aircraft had to make a turn of almost 90 degrees while landing between apartment blocks. One could clearly see inside people's homes.

6Landing in Quito is impressive too. You get the impression that people are living just a few meters from the runway.

9Thanks for that link Arizona.
I don't know what the OP means exactly. I understood One of the most fascinating air approaches that you can enjoy as a landing experience.
The link doesn't make a distinction between how big/important those airports are and what type of planes they are accepting. In the old Hong Kong airport big jets arrived and departed (see picture) whereas some of the other airports mentioned like Courchevel and Lugano are only served by relatively small planes.
