Cost of airport taxis in Astana?I'm wondering what a taxi from the Astana airport into the city should cost.
I'd be going near the train station, initially.
Also, is there any particular trick to getting better fares, or the right fare, from the airport? Places to use and not to use, etc.? Do you haggle or are some of the taxis metered? Do you trust meters or still bargain, etc.?
Searched around for this but didn't find it. But if it's been covered, just point me there.

1Didn't fly in so don't have a current asnwer to your question. The LP says 2000T from the airport to the city center. I'd use that as a guide and negotiate price. Depending on the time, and if you're going to the train station, the LP also says Bus 10 runs from the airport to the train station between 6 am and 10 pm, takes an hour and is 60T. I think I paid either 60 or 80 T for a ride on the buses - sorry can't remember exactly. And I think it was Bus 10 and 18 but again, my recollection isn't great. There was a website recently posted here about time tables for Almaty and Astana local buses I think- maybe do a quick search for it.
In Central Asia I always negotiate the price before I get into the taxi and reiterate it a couple of times.

2It appears the train station isn't considered so "central," after all. It's across the river and quite north from the center.
My boss said around 3,000 to 3,500 when he called for airport to train station area.
The guy who picked me up actually charged me 4,000, but I'm not sure how long he was waiting at the airport and he did make sure I settled into the hotel decently for a few minutes. So I didn't feel short-changed anyway.
Taxis have generally been satisfied with 1,000 going from my hotel's area just south of the station, to the center near Bayterek Tower etc.
One ambitious young buck tried to charge me 1,500 from the station to the center, but he gave up when I started to call a new Kazakh-speaking friend. Maybe it helped that I was (without really meaning to but) taking forever working my phone as well. :P
