Bangladesh visasI need a visa for Bangladesh to do voluntary work there - I'm informed by Bangladesh High Comm in London that I only require a tourist visa which is valid for 2 months. However, I am hoping to visit Bhutan also while there so will need a re-entry visa. Does anyone know if the start date of the visa is the same as the date you put down as your arrival date on the form or does it just start when they stamp and then return your passport (by post - dont live in London)? Reason I ask is that I need to get organised with flights etc and if apply for the visa now it will have more or less expired by the time I arrive! Can anyone help? Have tried ot get info from BHC but no success on this as yet. Thanks.

2Hi. The date the visa is valid from is the day the visa is issued (not when you arrive in Dhaka). So you should organize things so that the visa is issued as close to your travel date as possible. If you send in your application (special delivery) two weeks before date of intended travel, then you should be fine. They take 5 working days to issue a visa and then hopefully send it back to you with special delivery.
