Walking Skaftafell to Jokulsaron, Wild campingHi,
Im trekking in Skaftafell next week, and wondered has anyone walked from there to Jokulsaron Lagoon, know theres a bus but the walk would have a lot more opportunities for photography, wondered how long it would take..
Also hoping to wild camp at the lagoon for a couple of nights, has anyone any experiences?

1It's 56km along the road. Since the road bridges some rivers you'll have to return to the road from time to time. And when the road crosses some wet sands with braided meltwater streams, so you might want to stick to walking along the road for that bit, which unfortunately won't be very nice. However presumably the point of walking is that you would visit some of the other glacial lakes between S & J and thus walk rather further than the road distance - since you'd have to return to the road to cross the river flowing out of the lakes.
You aren't supposed to camp at Jokulsarlon. I know people have got away with it, but I think you'll be putting your tent up late and taking it down early to achieve that. Or walking some distance away.
