russian visa agencies??So the stories goes we are planning to travel east to west along the Trans Mongolian route to Moscow. We are Germans though will need to apply for the visa in Australia....... this can be done with 90 days left on a valid Australian visa. We don't have much time as one of the visa's has only a couple of weeks until it's to late. Would it be sensible to go through an agencies or do would it still be possible to go through the process independently ?
could anyone recommend a trusted agency in Australia?
Any help welcome,

1I got my visa in Australia this past week (although I am Australian). I did it independently. To get the invitation I went though the sevice available on waytorussia.net. Got the invitation and voucher within a few hours. I sent the application to the embassy in Canberra and got the visa back within the 10 days they said they would. If you send the application (and the prepaid return envelope) using express post you would be able to get it a couple of days quicker.

3Are you there on a working holiday visa? Is that why you assume that you need 90 days remaining to apply?
Why do you think that you need a service? I am not sure that you do. You will need an invitation but that shouldn't be a problem since you can buy it from an internet based vendor.
You do not need tickets for travel into and out of the country to get a visa.
You might, as a German passport holder, need proof of travelers insurance that will cover you in Russia. You probably can't get that from an Australian vendor. Check the website of the Russian consulates in Germany to see if proof of insurance coverage is required for German passport holders.
