Cooking class with simple recipes in Vietnam.I am making a tour with a travel agency (Vietnamstay) and I am looking for information about cuisine lessons.
In your opinion, where is the best place for a cooking class?
Between Hanoi, Hoi An, Hue or in a little village?
I am looking for a place where I can learn easy Vietnamese recipes. I want to make Vietnamese food again at home.
I already make cooking class in others countries, it was very funny but it was too complicated. I mean with ingredient quite rare… I need simple recipe to cook at home.
Give me your feedbacks please.

1i have taken several cooking classes in thailand, laos, india and bali, but not in vietnam, so my advice is not "first hand". i have friends who did a class in hoi and, and really enjoyed it, check out
i know what you mean conc. rare / complicated ingredients. for me the best part of the first ever cooking class i took was in chiang mai, and the teacher showed us all the "special" herbs and ingredients, and told us with what we can replace it if we dont find that at home.

2While cooking classes are fun and entertaining, you can only learn a limited
amount in the short time you are there. Make a list of the names of the
Vietnamese dishes you like and then look for recipes and how to make them
videos on-line. It's a lot easier to pause the video to take notes, and replay if
necessary. An example would be one my favorites, bitter melon soup.
