Dual Citizenship for Canada and UKHello, I am a Canadian citizen currently looking to get dual citizenship with the UK. My father was born in Scotland and still is a citizen of Scotland. I find the info online to be a bit confusing, but from what I've read it seems like I can get citizenship and a EU passport. Does anyone know where to find the forms or what info I will need to provide? Anyone know any resources or tips? Thanks!

2No such thing as Scottish citizenship nor can you get an EU passport.
You may be able to claim British citizenship though

3In practical terms, what you are hunting is a British Passport based on your dad being British. Been there, done that although it was a while ago and I'm Australian.
However, this http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/britishcitizenship/othernationality/Britishcitizenship/bornoverseas/ might help and is really clear. Your forms are here - https://apply.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/iapply.portal

4Good luck negotiating with the Border Agency. They are very busy dealing with complaints from people who have applications delayed for so long that important events are missed (I know someone who applied six months before a wedding and it didn't come though in time) - so prepare yourself for a long-drawn-out process!
