The plural of anecdote is not data.

4Considering how much feed it takes to raise a piglet to a porker I don't think that much of the 'herb' goes into their diet, no matter how much waste the dispensery produces. German television is in it for the curiosity factor and the man that raises them wants the publicity but for quality pork, I'd look elsewhere and pay less.
And having been on the receiving end of some powerful brownies, I don't think I'd like pot-flavored pork...
Now pork from pigs that have been let loose in oak woodlands to forage for acorns or in apple/pear orchards to clean up the fallen fruit...now that I'd pay extra for...

6I regularly buy bacon and sausages from an artisanal producer whose farm is next door to a micro-brewery, and his pigs are fed on the waste from that. I suspect that most of the reason his bacon is so good is because he makes it properly and from old-fashioned breed pigs. And for the sausages, the main effect is that he uses some of the beer as an ingredient.

7his pigs are fed on the waste
That's what the village pigs in rural Rajasthan feed on as well. Only in this case, human waste. You can back it in that's why they're not on the menu.

10Well . . .
In the seventies of the last century I was employed as an "Ethnic English" teacher at several moderately posh secondary schools in a wholly Muslim country where the drinking of any form of alcohol and consumption of the meat from a variety of animals was strictly forbidden.
The enjoyment of a certain herb, however, in its different forms, was socially quite acceptable, It was cheap, widely available, and enjoyed by very many of the citizens.
I've often wondered if the incorporation of that herb into today's stock feed would have the same effect
on the final commercial product that the substance had on me.
Apparently it does
I can recall that upon its occasional introduction to my diet I always felt totally delicious, and meltingly tender.
