1These boats never sail empty- and these days probably more like half-full.
This means you can just go down to the wharf- look for boats leaving 'tomorrow'- tell them you want a cabin and check it out before you pay.
Also, will cost much less than booking in advance as you can bargain- many more boats available, you tell them .

2Hi All, I agree with you that the best way to visit Egypt is to book flights and hotels on your own, then ask once you arrive a reliable local tour organiser to take care of the details like arranging day tours, transport to Aiports/stations, booking train tickets etc… That’s how I do it whenever I have friends, family or even delegations visiting anywhere. It has always worked well and it’s more affordable than buying travel packages for colossal prices from abroad.

3If you do decide to book beforehand then I can highly recommend Memphis Tours. We did a Nile cruise with them last November and were accommodated in one of the best ships on the river for a fantastic price (as per Raki_Man's comment - the ships are half empty and so we were upgraded to a fuller 5* vessel for no additional cost).
Check out all our reviewed and recommended accommodation and book online.
