2Accordoing to this you don't need a visa.
It seems you can transit visa free for 24 hours. This is the information that the airline has. Are you travelling on 1 ticket with the same airline? Do you need to change terminals in Lagos?

I wouldn't even consider transiting LOS airport with only 4 hours availabe.
What time do you arrive ?
Do know that arrival peak starts at 16h30 and lasts till 22h30, which means arrival qeues at immigration are awful, in the worst case it'll take you 2 hours and I can assure sure it is gonna be chaos in there and very very hot.
When not having visa immigration will escort you to their special room right behind their desks. You will have to endure lots of harassments & questions will need to pay up: it is gonna cost you money and you will end up spending a whole lot of time with these nerds.
How about your bags? I would not even consider having my bags through checked to my final destination via LOS airport. You'll never see them again mate! Make sure to collect your bags but this means you will have to persuade the immigration guys again so another "dash" ...... and more waste of time.
Bear in mind that most intl flights close check-in 1h or 1 11/2h before dep so timewise you are really facing serious problems!
My advice - don't even bother to transit at LOS airport with 4 hours.
