Train from Istanbul to BucharestQuick Question:
I'm intending to travel from Istanbul to Sighisoara/Odorheiu Romania via Bucharest. The easiest way to do so seems to be via train. I've read a lot about the bosphorus express online. However, I haven't been able to learn a)how far in advance should I reserve my ticket and b)what is the best way to reserve a ticket...
If anyone has ever ridden this train or has any information, please share! I'd be very appreciative.

11) There is no need to reserve in advance. The train is rarely full, let alone crowded. Assuming you will be in Istanbul for at least a couple of days, just walk down to the train station and purchase your ticket a day or two in advance, just for peace of mind.
2) It is my understanding that the train tracks between Istanbul and the Bulgarian border are under construction, and that the train ride requires a bus shuttle from Istanbul to the Bulgarian border. Given this, it might be better to take a bus from Istanbul to Bucharest. (You could break up the trip by taking a bus to Veliko Tarnovo, a beautiful city right on the train line to Bucharest, spend a day there, then continue on to Bucharest.)
