31Spa and Caney. Sorry for misunderstanding. I have heard rumours about dog fights in Cuba and have seen the dogs in street, but not a prearranged fight. Once in a while I hear the noice of dogs fighting in the night, and guess that the owners amuse themselves. I don't like the idea, but it happens all over the world. But are Cubans in general more cruel than other people. I could not tell. maybe it is individualistic.
Caney - sorry I have not seen your youtube film yet, it is a bit too long. But I suppose you wished to show me dog fights in Cuba. Thank you. But Caney, in bullfights, if the bull is about to win, won't there be at least ten men on the field in a minute to kill the bull off?

37Caney @ #30... yes, I got that, thanks. I was still so surprised that Enram - the biggest self proclaimed expert/preacher about Cuba on this forum - could be so clueless, that's all. Enram: Don't ever change. Carry on.Cheers,Terry
Spa or Terry, have you ever been told that your tantrum sort of language tends to leave others with the impression that you still struggle to reach a proper level. Grown-ups would argue their case, give evidence if it exists, and even more evidence if it is available, and leave it at that.
Most learn that there is no guarantee that others will accept your view, even if you shout or use foul language.

38Enram, no one needs to "argue" or "give evidence" to you. It's like trying to have a reasonable discussion with Gordon/CubaKing. It's pointless.
That said, if you ever drive through Cojimar or Alamar or any of the 'burbs surrounding Havana the tires hanging from the trees aren't for kids, they're to train fighting dogs.

39I have seen these crazy dogs and its crazy owners also outside of Havana, much farther east.
For a long time I thought that cock fights, dog fights, bull fights and gambling were a way for some people to earn extra money, and that that more development and schooling would change that. But these people seem willing to die for their passion and their animals, and no change is going to alter that. I have even seen doctors cycle rounds with their crazy dogs. There might be a hierarchy from cocks, through dogs up to bulls. The top level may be fist fight and betting on Russian Roulette.
But i have learned that these people are all over the world.
