Lake Louise, Banff - Fairmont Resorts working conditions (and hip hop)Hey everyone!
I'm also in the same spot, looking to get away on a working holiday visa and looking for the best spot.
I was originally thinking Vancouver or Toronto but now reconsidering as it's more expensive and job searches will be harder.
I wanna try and have it all lined up before I travel and have more than enough to get me by when I land as I'm staying for 1-2 years,
I have been to Calgary, Jasper, Lake Louise, Banff before and loved Lake Louise - my favourite place on Earth - so beautiful when it snows there.
I'm looking to get a job with accomodation and hoping to score one at the Fairmont Hotels in Lake Louise or Banff.
Anyone know of the working conditions and pay? rent? Accommodation?
I'm not into skiing or boarding and I don't drink but know how to party.
I'm 27 and I love to dance and into my hip hop - any places like this to party over there as I'm not a big pub chick.
Thanks everyone :)

2If your not into skiing or boarding I would avoid the area. Summer is great but it is short. The weather is only good from early July until mid September. During the winter (late October - Apil) expect snow and lots of cold weather. The rest of the time it will be cold and raining. The winter is great if you are into snow sports but less than ideal if you are not. There are other things that you can do but skiing and snowboarding are huge here because of the weather.
There is a big partly scene in Banff but it revolves around drinking. Not saying you won't have a good time here but you don't sound like your are up for the two biggest pastimes.
I have been in Banff for 5 years so ask away.

3What is the usual dress code for business in Banff .
I don't wear jeans and sneakers to work but wondering what the standard is there.
I'm hoping to apply at Fairmont Banff so i'm guessing they would supply a uniform?
Alternitavely I would try to get some Administration work but unsure if I should bring a pants suit.
