Solo day trip out of Boston - ideas?I live in the Boston area and was thinking of taking a day trip outside of the city by myself sometime this summer. I'm an introvert, so I like doing things alone but I have no idea where to go. I don't have a car so I'd like to go somewhere accessible by the T/commuter rail. I'd really like to go somewhere quiet and scenic to spend the day. Any ideas?

1How much walking do you want to do?
Do you want to be near the ocean?
You could take the train to Gloucester, Rockport or Newburyport.
There's an interactive street map on the T website, commuter rail, which you could peruse for inspiration. http://www.mbta.com/schedules_and_maps/rail/

4The main ferry from Long Wharf in Boston goes to George's Island. There is an old fort on the island you can explore. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fort_Warren_(Massachusetts)
Then you can get a smaller ferry to Lovells, Grape, Bumpkin, or Peddocks. Thompson's has a separate ferry from South Boston.
George's has a concession stand; for the others, bring water and food and anything else you may need.
