1the Footprints guidebook for Zim has 2 reviews on its shop page which rate it rather well. At least its end of 2010 but I would say theres been an enormous amount of change just in the last year but for sites and historical info Im sure it would be helpful. I actually bought it last year for a Zim friend but haven't seen her in ages so its just been sitting on my shelf

3Last year I used the Lonely Planet Southern Africa 2010 edition and is was very helpful and up to date.
In three years there wont be too much change, although some restaurants might have closed. But you wont regret taking the LP Southern Africa with you, especially if you intend to visit other countries in Southern Africa it is a good bargain.

Probably the best and most update to date guide book is the Bradt Guide book on Zim(2010) edition and an updated 2nd edition to that should be out in a few months too.
I find it very helpful as the author Paul Murray seems to have physicically gone to each an every place in that book to give up to date information.
Looking forwarded to the updated edition.
Cheers hope it helpsxx
