5 Days in Sri Lanka + 4 Days MalaysiaHi there,
I am planning a short trip for 5 Days in Sri Lanka + 4 Days Malaysia.
My tour starts from Dubai as I am resident here. I have no company and happy to meet whoever is fun, cool, adventurous and interesting. I have never been to each of my destination, neither I know what to expect for the time being.
For Sri Lanka, May 31st - Jun 4th
I would like to experience nature, tea plantations, good food, local areas & tea/coffee shops.
I heard about good scuba dive opportunities - so who has some insights & contacts?
Looking for Hotels/guest houses with charm - not a big fan of standard mainstream hotels (used to it in Dubai & Co.)
For Malaysia, Jun 4th - Jun 8th
I am meeting a friend in Kuala Lumpur who isn't from Malaysia either 2-3 days.
We will stay in a nice hotel next to the towers. Other than this - nothing is fix.
Open for seeing another area than Kuala Lumpur.
I am not so interested in parties but wouldn't mind a good night out.
A nice club location, descent girls with no 'professional intention'
Let me know..looking forward hearing from you.
Peace in the middle east - Saher

1If you can get out to the hills its nice. But, in this short period I think you have chosen the Malaysia itinerary well. Near your choice is a good tourist show for performances. Its great for kids as they are invited up. My boy quite stole the show. The Twin towers are okay. You don't go up very far. Check current security precautions. The day tours for KL are better and there is an office near where you are going to be. Don't miss the Chinese market but be cautious of wallet & disputes..

With your time limitations, I'd probably suggest landing and heading to Hikkaduwa town/ beach area. This isn't everyone's first choice, but you can get out to the villages and some of the lower tea plantations on a moped by yourself. There are also day trips that can be organised from here (Polunwara Elephants with a lovely tea shop over looking it ). Suggesting Hikkaduwa because of your mention of scuba. The diving in Sri Lanka is NOT world class, but it's good enough. There's though a fantastic reserve area for shallow snorkeling. And you're only a few hours from Colombo to get back to the airport.

Here's a link to a site that has plenty suggested about kL. I used this as a guide and it was cool.
Batu Cave and Kuala Selangor (day trip) are very good. Plenty to do in the area.
