Where would 19 year-old enjoy hanging out in Bali?Hi... I'm going to spend a week in Bali with my 19 year-old daughter and would like to be
around people in their 20's rather than the honeymoon crowd or older crowd, at least some of
the time. We are staying in Ubud and would plan to stay in beautiful inns or hotels wherever we go.
Also, what do you suggest to experience the true culture, magnificent nature and fun?
Thank you for your help! We will be there the first week of July.

3As for culture/nature.
Ubud is a good base. You have lots of art museums there, lots of temples...and cultural performances every night (like the one surfboy mentions)...traditional dances, music, puppet theatre etc etc.
There is also plenty of 'nature' which you can get to easily enough..either to stay overnight or for a few days (eg Munduk) or just to have a look on a day trip from Ubud (eg ricefields of Jatiluwih).

4Ubud is a great place to stay to experience traditional cultures, arts and scenery..and a good base for day trips to other places. Just be aware that Ubud is at least an hour from any of the southern beach areas, so you will have to travel a bit if you want to do that.
Evenings are fairly low key in Ubud, but there are a few bars that have live music, and other entertainments going on, including the fabulous dance performances. If you are lucky in your timing there could be a temple ceremony going on that would be a great cultural experience..have someone from your hotel accompany you and help arrange your proper attire.
Some 19 year olds love culture and some don't so it also really depends on what your daughter likes! Many of the young people here do yoga classes, and there are some good places to do that, notably Taksu!
