Iranian visa in India or Turkey?Hello lovely people,
Just a quick ask. I need my Iraninan visa and I am hoping to get it in India. Which consul is the best place to do so? Does anyone have any recent experience of this?
If this fails we might have to fly to Turkey and then get it there before crossing the land border but would like to avoid this if possible to maximise time in iran.

Depending on when you wish to travel in Iran - should be no problem collecting an Iran visa in India.
Air Arabia connects India with Shiraz via Sharjah.

2An Iran visa? When exactly? And what nationality?
Yes u may collect visa in India. Contact touranzamin travel agency and they will help u. Of course there other good travel agencies in Iran, too you must act fast on your visa application if u need to be here in May or June. And follow my threads ...my numerous related threads here and on tripadvisor.com. Good luck, amir.

The elections will have an effect.
As I told u before, u should choose a good reliable Iranian travel agency to apply for visa. They know more and have updated info which would guide you in the right direction. There is no other way especially if u wanna have your Visa before July 1. and honestly since you are a British I seriously doubt you could get ever get visa on your own without the help of an Iranian travel agency. They usually charge 35 euros if u contact like a month or two before departing for Iran, good luck. Amir.

6One more thing,
Remember nearly all Iranian travel agencies -- no matter how good they are or where they are-- are very slow in replying emails, even in normal times...let alone before an upcoming very sensitive presidential elections. This means u should contact them twice a week on your own until a decision on your application has finally been made. Good luck.
