Where to go after Pamukkale?i will be spending two weeks in Turkey the end of May and have planned days in Cappadocia, flying to Izmir and then visiting Ephasus, Aphrodisias and then Pamukkale. I will have a rental car.
I have two days that I have not planned and am wondering if there are special sites withing a few hours of PAmukkale. After those two days, I plan to go to Alacata for two days and then back to Istanbul for a few days before my flight home.
I am most interested in an authentic Turkish experience, charming location and not a lot of tourists. I am not sure if there are must see sites in that area.

1As you'll have car you could go from Pamukkale(or Aphrodisias)down along Lake Bafa and up the southern Aegean coast to Ephesus.
Kapı Kırı at Bafa is a lovely little village, and along the coast there are Miletus,Didyma and Priene sites to visit. All three are close together so you could spend a day and 2 nights at Bafa and visit the three sites in a few hours on your way to Ephesus.

3You are probably goıng to be subject to your hotel bookıngs but ın a perfect world, I would keep those days free and then spend them when you fınd what you are lookıng for. The longer you stay ın one place the more ''authentıc'' your experıence wıll be. The second tıme you eat at the same restaurant you are an honored guest; the thırd tıme you are practıcally famıly.
