Change of plans means 6 extra days in Tokyo - where to stay?Hey all,
We have 3 weeks in Japan, but have just made some last minute changes that will end up with us having an extra 6 days in Tokyo at the end.
3 days Tokyo in Kabukicho
4 days Kyoto
2 days Hiroshima
3 days Kobe
2 days Yokohama
1 night Tokyo in Shinagawa
7 nights Tokyo in Shin-Okubo/Shinjuku area
6 days in ??
This is my fourth trip to Japan, and I have big love for Tokyo (hence the most amount of time being spent there).
I usually stay around Shinjuku, and I've also stayed in Ginza and Ikebukuro before.. but I'm thinking maybe somewhere different this time for those last 6 days.
I've only really stayed on the west side of the Yamanote line, so I'm thinking maybe East?
Akihabara, Ueno, Shimbashi?
We have a 21 day JR rail pass, so when this expires, what would be the best option for us to continue to get around via train (considering we'd be mainly keeping to the Yamanote line)?
As far as 'what interests us'.. everything about Tokyo really.
Nice buildings, parks, crazy weird stuff, shopping, food. Anything and everything. I'm happy to spend my days just wandering around and finding cool stuff to look at and good food to eat, really.
Looking forward to your suggestions

1I'm not sure whether it would get the point, but I wrote some of them before.
And other options: Tokyo Islands (Izu Islands & Ogasawara Island chains)
They are also included in Tokyo.
