Rabat riad?My husband and I are traveling at the end of this month. We land in Rabat and want to stay there in a cheap, clean, quiet place to unwind and see a little before going on to Fes the next day. (We are couchsurfers, but usually start our trip for the first night in a hotel.) Any recent experience staying in such a place?

1hi the guide books that are around will help you with that info - usually a choice of tried and tested accommodations of varying standards and prices to choose from
such as the Lonely Planet, Footprints, Rough guide
the DK eyewitness guide is brilliant for info on the old medinas and history and cultural info - walking tours etc

2We just spent 2 nights at Dar Yanis in Rabat, in the medina. It is clean, comfortable, and pretty much walking distance to everywhere except the Chellah (which we did walk to anyway).
I usually look at recent comments on sites like Tripadvisors or booking sites, as they tend to be more true reflection of current situation than guidebooks.
Have fun in Rabat - That's my favourite place in Morocco so far.
