Iran Visa on ArrivalHey Guys,
Me(Irish), My GF(Spanish), and a friend of mine(Irish) are visting Iran on the 13th of April.
From what I've read, we are granted a visa on arrival. do I need to pre-arrange anything like a sponsor for this? or any special application forms?
I just don't want any nasty surprises when I arrive in Tehran.
FYI we're flying in Imam Khomeni from Istanbul.

4I think you would be better off getting a travel agency in Iran to apply for a visa reference number that has you picking up the visa at the airport.
I'm sure the visa on arrival policy is still in place, but I know of people who have been rejected at the airport or who have had to wait very long times (hours) in the arrival hall.

I'm actually landing on the 14th. I got a code through Touran Zamin-Tour Operator, cost €50 and had it in 5 days. I'm picking up my visa on Friday in the Dublin Embassy.
I strongly recommend you get a code first as:
1 You may not be allowed board the airplane without a visa (check with your airline)
2 It very possible to be turned back in Tehran.
3 It saves brown trouser moments between now and then.
PM me if you want me to ask any question about VOA when I'm in the Embassy.
I'm sure it will all work out,
