3The correct spelling is Ramadan, not Ramadam! There is no 'm' at the end. The holy month of Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar and it is a time when muslims across the world abstain from eating or drinking anything from sunrise to sunset throughout the month. Lunar calendar months are usually 28 to 30 days long. Don't worry about Ramadan, because it is a long way off. Ramadan is supposed to begin sometime in July 2013.
All shops and restaurants remain open throughout the day during Ramadan. If you want to get 'supplies', try the Bangladeshi supermarkets like Meena Bazaar, Shwapno, Agora, Nandan, etc. Most, if not all, of these supermarkets have branches all across Bangladesh and they all accept Visa, American Express, Master Card and some Bangladesh specific cards like Qcash, Nexus, etc.

Bangladesh is moderate Muslim country and others religious( Hindu, Buddhist) people are living here.
During Ramadan you can travel easily every where in Bangladesh. Restaurant!! some time you can get easily some time not. In the big cities its easy to find out a restaurant. But as a big city in Chittagong its really difficult to have some thing in lunch. There are some Hindu restaurant you can find every where in Bangladesh. Most of the in-house restaurant is open. Dinner and breakfast is available every where.
Please feel free to ask any question about Bangladesh.
