Need a hand-hold through the visa processHi all!
So sorry for this, I don't know if I'm missing something somewhere, but I'm struggling to find a step by step on how to apply for a visa. I hold dual passports, Canada and UK, so could apply whichever way is easier. I currently live in London UK.
I'll be staying at a hostel for a long weekend in early May, and am confused about the order in which I need to do things. The way I understand it, I book my hostel and flights and then the hostel sends a letter to me, and I send that along with flight proof away along with some money to get a visa?
Is it possible to book a flight and hotel and then get denied for a visa? How long does the process usually take?

1If you have a UK passport and live in the UK its very simple to get a visa, you don't need to book anything in advance or produce any tickets. All you require are visa support documents which can be bought from a company in the UK called Real Russia for £15, you then use these to apply for a visa through the Russian consulates processing agents VFS.
Once you have sent in your application it take a little over a week to receive your visa. You can if you want use Real Russia to process your application too.
