Summer Trip- When is it too crowded in Crimea ?Hello, currently planning a 9 day trip this summer to Ukraine. Was originally targeting late May but may have to move the trip back some, I have heard that by late June/July many people, especially Russians travel to Crimea and make things pretty crowded and dive costs up, can anyone comment on what timeframe is right to go if you want to avoid heavy crowds?

Actually June isn't crowded at all. There even less tourists in Crimea than in September. It's because students and shoolkids do have exams, sea water is not as warm as in July and August. The nature is just beautiful in June: many flowers and trees are blooming, a grass is fresh and green - it turns brown in August. It's best time for hiking - temperature is just perfect.
I agree with "Feodosia" - better to avoid trip to Crimea in July-August.
Welcome to Crimea!

5The largest crowds come to Crimea at July/August, when the sea water is warmest, so if your primary aim is not swimming/bathing, you'd better go in June or September. Sunbathing is ok during these times, especially in June when there are a lot of people with sunburns laying on beach but nobody get into the water :)
