New Tex-Mex restaurant in Granada update
Dear kunmingirl, once again, thanks for your post and here is my update on Tex-Mex restaurants in Grenada. My friends and I stayed in Granada for five days and visited Tequila Vallarta and La Merienda. Just like you said, Vallarta is good but expensive. None the less, it isn’t tex-mex, Mexican food and Tex-Mex are way different in flavor and preparation. La Merienda is cheaper and indeed has that unique south of the boarder flavor that I love so much! It was like having a bit of home in Granada!!!We went everyday for either lunch or dinner. My boyfriend is vegetarian and he fell in love with their tofu and vegetable dishes. If you ask for beer, they will tell you they do not sell any liquor, but they will bring you, free of charge, a fruity cocktail they call agua fresca.
If you go back to Grenada, you should visit this place. I just hope you don't mind listening to Mexican and/or american country music while eating.

ach, you guys are sooooo unsympathetic to those of us who live in places with no mexican food! i was thrilled to vary a bit of nica food with some decent mexican. if you're not interested, what are you doing in this thread anyway? like, someone is forcing you to stay here and whine? i don't think so!ADVERTISEMENT
