LCPeru Airlines
Thanks to IncaKola I am planning to fly Cuzco to Pisco on LCPeru Airlines (bypassing having to loop back through Lima).1) Has anybody flown with them or have any info on them?. Lonely Planet doesn't even mention them, or even an airport at Pisco. 2) Here's a brief run down of the itinerary for August: I am initially flying into LIma, staying 2 nights, then onto Cuzco (4 days plus the Inca trek)...this is where LCPeru comes into it because then want to head to Huacachina (which I think is a one hour bus from Pisco to Ica then a taxi to Huacachina).
After that it's Nazca Lines, then overnight bus to Arequipa (can't see any other way? Doesn't seem to be flights or day buses unless you guys know alternatives?) and then the Canyon, Puno and on into Bolivia.
Thanks for any info on LCPeru.
Also any alternatives from Nazca to Arequipa.
Thanks for everyone's fantastic help. So appreciated.

LC Peru used to be called LC Busre and under that name it has been around for a good number of years. The LC Peru connection between Cuzco and Pisco is quite recent and because of that it would not be surprising if you could not find it in a travel guide book. The Lonely Planet Guide Book comes out once in three years, I believe, so you can't expect it to be particularly up to date.LC Peru does exist and Cuzco and Pisco do have airports.

If I were you I would call LCPeru to be sure, otherwise you might as well take a night bus from Cusco to Lima and get off in Ica.I've just tried to book a flight on Friday 9th August with LCPeru from Cusco to Pisco and it worked out fine.
If I'm not wrong you can only bring 15 kg of luggage.
As you will be going to Arequipa you might travel to Arequipa first (10 hours night bus from Cusco) or regular flights from Cusco to Arequipa with Taca for around 145 USD.
From Arequipa you could travel to Nazca with another Lima bound night bus.
Ica is between 2 & 3 hours from Nazca by bus.

Trouble is I am going into Bolivia. Will try the website to book the flight to Pisco, then immediately bus to Rica then taxi to huacachina. Then after 2 days head to Nazca for a flight then that overnight bus to Arequipa because I can't see any other way. Cuzco and trek are booked and locked in. Thanks for suggestions6
Sounds somewhat funny. Cuzco and Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley are considered the great highlights of Peru. And these are well worth an (extended) visit indeed (if you don't mind the large number of tourists). Being so close to Bolivia you from there plan to make a considerable detour to visit what I would consider secondary destinations in Peru. Not that they are not worth a visit (although I find Huacachina just boring), but only if they fit naturally in your itinary. You may of course have special reasons to do this. But being already in Cusco I would however consider to spend more time in that part of Peru and then go straight into Bolivia, leaving Islas Ballestas, Huacachina, the flight over the Nazca lines and Arequipa for what they are.ADVERTISEMENT
