Cooking class in Mexico City?

Hi,
I'll be heading to Mexico City in May, and really want to take in a cooking class (maybe a full day).
Has anyone got any tips? An English speaking guide would be great.
Thanks!

You could visit Museo Gastronomico de Fundacion Herdez, located on the northeast corner of the zocalo. I've often walked by and wondered what was inside. Their website http://fundacionherdez.com.mx lists courses available.

mclarjh - The museo gastronomico looks real interesting - and, it is a foundation to help rural communities. Thanks for the post - it's on my list for visiting next trip to D.F.

Here is a schedule of the culinary courses they have available (from the website you provided) http://fundacionherdez.com.mx/?p=cursos_talleres

I stopped by the Museum a few years ago and wasn't much impressed with their exhibitions. Things like old kitchen appliances. That may have changed, of course.

And the courses do sound interesting. Maybe that sort of thing is their main focus, and the museum a secondary thing.
