Thanks for all your advice, have changed up plenty of pesos and will spread them among many hidey holes in our bags as have been stung by hefty bank charges before!

We decided to pre-book our first week beach stay due to the busy time of year and will wing it for the rest of the time once we leave the coast.

Mine sure does. We are in Guatemala right now and she is looking forward to getting back to Mexico, where she feels very safe compared to places we have been. The Mexican men are very polite and very respectful of young women when they are with their mothers.

Make sure that you go to a cenote near Valladolid. One of the highlights of our trip.
