Availability of medical supplies while hosteling?

Availability of medical supplies while hosteling?

If one backpacks through Indonesia and adjacent areas, how is the availability of medical supplies? I am thinking of items like antacids, anti allergy pills, and lubricant eyes drops. I assume many brand names in the US such as Claritan might not be for sale there, are there good substitutes?

Well, that's pretty broad.

Of course in the larger cities like Jakarta, Denspasar, Yogya, etc you'll have no problems. If you find yourself in the Alor Archipelago... better bring your own. We usually carry some gauze, bandaids, random antibiotics, etc. We don't bother with a lot though.
