CELTA in Saudi ArabiaThis is what I hope to do: Teach in Saudi Arabia or the U.A.E. -- I have a personal fascination with the middle east. Of course no income tax isn't a horrible secondary perk.
I recently got 'accepted' into a local CELTA course. I am wondering what the prospects are for me of getting a job in these two countries with the following (very minimal) qualifications:
B.A. in Communications w/ 3.82 GPA from Penn State University
Hypothetical CELTA certification
No teaching experience
Native US English Speaker w/ firm grasp of the language
It seems many of the posts for Saudi/UAE jobs require at the very very least 2+ years of teaching experience. I understand why they have more restrictions than maybe China or Korea. Am I out of luck until I get more experience, or have any of you heard of someone fresh out of college getting a position in one of these countries?
If Saudi Arabia or the UAE are impossible, what other countries do you suggest? I have TEFL contacts in China and Chile, but I would certainly prefer Asia over South America.

1It is incredibly unlikely you will get a job in Saudi without experience. If there is a recruiting agency that will work with you, you can be darn sure it's not reputable at all and you will be screwed once in-country (if it gets that far).
UAE is much the same. If you go ahead of time and knock on a couple doors, you might find something. But it will not be well-paid and you'll likely have to sort out visa issues by yourself. Not and easy task.
Vietnam is well paid and would take someone with your qualifications. ILA or Apollo, although kind of puppy-mills, are at least reliable. If it's the Muslim culture you're interested in. Finding work in Turkey, especially Istanbul is easy. However it's tough to make ends meet.

2Check the job ads on http://www.tefl.com/ to get a jist of what requirements individual countries look for. Although the majority of jobs are not posted online.
You can teach in Thailand with only a degree, although its questionable how advisable this is.
Korea has a lot of jobs with fairly lax standards also, I'm not sure exactly what you need but a friend of my sister is currently working there with a degree + an online short TEFL certificate.
Check out http://www.eslcafe.com/joblist/ as a good starting resource.

I am planning to take CELTA in the near future.
I hold BSc in Finance and have experience in international auditing.
Being muslim, we want to live and work in the Middle East (especially in Saudi Arabia)
Marital status: Married (with 2 kids)
Ethnicity: Central Asian
Need your advices and suggestions!
And my questions are:
1. How to find job after finishing CELTA course w/o teaching experience in the Middle East?
2. How difficult is to find a job with CELTA for married woman in the Middle East (with no prior teaching experience)?
