Togians from Manado on the whole. Will take the lesser part of a week to arrive and leave. Togians more beach as such.

Togeans are definitely easier to reach (easier via Palu and Ampana than via Manado though), offer more "resorts" (no resorts on Banda).
With no flights, squeezing Banda into a week could be a challenge altogether.

Banda has FAR better snorkeling though.

For beaches it is a draw - neither archipelago is really beachy, for that Kei or Belitung would be far better.

Ok quick hit - with three + weeks can I do both the Togaens and TToraja at a semi relaxed pace? spending at least a week at each. Using Bali as entry and exit point/

As pelni seems to be putting up the ferry schedules to banda only 15 days in advance now I may still go there but will not be able to make that decision tell virtually the eve of departure, so I am looking at a fall back plan. Oh I have 24 days but have to fly out of and back to Bali

Any help comments or opinions welcome - not to thread jack but Sulawesi seems to be the most viable alternative

You can easily visit both Tanatoraja and the Togeans in 3 weeks.
