Amazon Trip Start Manau

Hello togehter,

i am planning a 6 day trip in the jungel around Manaus.

I have choosen 2 options

first with igunao Turismo
http://www.tripadvisor.de/Attraction_Review-g303235-d1628804-Reviews-Iguana_Turismo-Manaus_Amazon_River_State_of_Amazonas.html

second with a local guide and his lodge.
http://www.tripadvisor.de/Hotel_Review-g1984154-d2547880-Reviews-Amazon_Tarzan_Lodge-Careiro_State_of_Amazonas.html

its in the Juma Reserve

i like to have a real jungel adventure. Sleeping in the jungel etc. is iguano Turismo to toristical for it?

Does someone has some experience for such a trip?

i can not decide which one i should choose

Please Help !!!

I know both of these companies. They should be fine. The tours are similar to the other tours out of Manaus. Most likely you can get one (maybe two) nights sleeping in the jungle with Iguana Tours; Tarzan may be able to give you something more specialized. Ask him.

Hello Wendy,
thanks for your answer
i am in contact with him (Tarzan). We will spend nights in the jungel.
Do you know how he can speak english?
Is it a big lodge? I think i like to do the trip with him more than with igunao Turismo.

Do you know if it is a real jungel or is it toristical?
Is it nearly the same place where the lodges are located?

Yes, Tarzan speaks good English. I haven't visited his lodge, as sometimes he works with other agencies. I doubt it is a big one--none of them are very big except for a couple of the more expensive ones. As for whether it is "real jungle", that depends on your definition. It won't be very far from where jungle people are living, but it is still authentic jungle--just not "deep" jungle.

Hi Neo, maybe it´s very late to answer this post, but try to concern by yourself, because the only person who answered your post, told me (in another post), dosen´t work in any company in Manaus, but how he knows the two companies he's speaking about it, and make you book with one of them? I really don't know!

Huh? I know both of these companies because I have been to Manaus several times, and the Amazon tourism world is small. I should think this would show that I am not biased, because I told him both of these companies should be fine. I don't know what you think I'm trying to do here. Maybe your limited English is keeping you from reading my posts correctly. To explain again: I am an American tourist. I have been to the Amazon several times, talked to people from several companies, and talked to tourists who have been with several companies. I've also read a lot of reviews. I don't work for anyone.

Tarzan is a great guy, you will have fun with him especially when he talks stories from his Indigenous tribe.
Iguana tours are cheap but a waste of money, big groups and a lousy lodge on a farmland.
