DO NOT PAY FOR THE reciprocity FEE ONLINE unless CAN PRINT IMMEDIATELYDO NOT PAY FOR THE ARGENTINA RECIPROCITY FEE ONLINE UNLESS YOU HAVE THE MEANS TO IMMEDIATELY PRINT-OUT THE RECEIPT!
Message only for Americans, Australians and Canadians travelling to Argentina.
Many problems reported with this. People have reported having paid, and then have not been able to print-out the receipt later. If you do not have the receipt, you may be forced to pay again to get the print-out. Without such a print-out (or a sticky in your passport from a previous visit), the airlines will NOT let you on the plane. This is discussed nine-ways-to-sunday in the sticky above, but the message is not getting through; hence, this additional post as a timely warning.
Let's keep further discussion about the Argentina reciprocity fee in the sticky above.

2You need tenacity and patience to live Argentina. :) The lifestyle is great and it is fun, but it can be trying.
I am tenacious because I always have friends and family visiting, and I have to stay on top of things for their sake. Also, I run into a lot of gringos who wish they knew these types of things before arriving. Like most of Latin America, Argentina is not an information culture, which is why forums like these are important for sharing.

3Yes, someone I know got caught like this. No printout, no barcode. We never figured out how to get back in to print later and no answer to an email. He had to pay again and was hoping to figure it out on arrival.
Still fighting the good fight, Mendo! Are you on TA? If we can spot each other, we can PM!

5Wow what a huge screw up by Argentina to let that happen. I would suggest that people can print webpages as a PDF document and save them to their hard drive or email. This is done easily with Mozilla Firefox and Google Chrome, just print and choose save file as PDF. I'll repost on the sticky thread too.

6I just bought the reciprocity fee for my husband and I on my ipad, then used someone elses computer to print it out. I had no problems printing it out later. You just log back into the site. Go to the forms tab. Your name will be listed and whoever else you bought it for at the same time. You click on the tab to the right of your name/ passport number and your receipt pops up with the bar code. Click print!

8No matter where you are in the world technology fails, especially new websites. And no matter where you are in the world people fail to read directions. I'm sure a little bit of both of these are the cause of people failing to print.
Perhaps a better post would be advising people that some haven't been able to print it out at a later date, so if possible print it out straight away. But also offering advice to those that need to purchase it before they can print and the directions on how to do so.

9I just did the save as PDF thing and it seems to have worked just fine. I was having problems earlier in the day -- first, finding somewhere in SP de Atacama that would print the document from my own computer - impossible; and then opening my 'account' with the Argentinean bureaucracy on an internet cafe computer.
I haven't actually printed it yet but now it is a PDF file I can't see any problems with doing so.
The whole thing is a bit unwieldy and buggy but it can be done.
