In the Philippines for 2-3 weeks need suggestions.. please help :)
Hi there,My girlfriend and I are going to the Philippines after we have gone into Indonesia.
We are interested in seeing some whale sharks. We havent booked any flights into or out of the philippines.
I would love someone to tell me about some great places to go at a reasonable budget.
As we are a couple I am interested in some beautiful breath taking places / hotels to go to.
I have heard El Nido, Palawan is beautiful aswel as Siargao Islands, Surigao del Norte.
I would appreciate any beautiful cheap hotels and islands and things to do.

For the Whalesharks choose between Donsol and Sogod Bay in Leyte, the latter being the more beautiful area to visit but the former would include seeing Legaspi and Mount Mayon.Use Cebu City as a hub and fly to either Palawan or Siargao. Both are very beautiful but Palawan takes more effort to travel through..

Just leaving The Philippines and been writing about on my blog if you want up to date info. We missed Palawan but are coming back for Banaue and Donsol to avoid Holy Week and avoid splashing out for the cost of extending the visa a 2nd time.Would definitely recommend Bohol as a little gem and Boracay gets a bad rep but is really good.
