transportation from Daju to Lugu Hu

Hi everyone!

I'm leaving for Yunnan next week and had planned on doing a private tour with Xintuo Ecotourism, but apparently I had completely unrealistic expectations about the cost of such a trip. So I'm looking for an alternative using a combination of public transportation and "taxi" rides. So far, there is only one part of the trip that I can't figure out.

I would like to get from Daju (north-eastern end of the Tiger Leaping Gorge, where the ferry is) to Lugu Lake via Baoshan, Fengke (where there is another ferry), Labo (only guesthouse around?) and Yongning. I really don't want to backtrack all the way to Lijiang...

1) I've read there is a bus from Daju to Mingyin but then it's still a long way to Baoshan. Is it possible to hire a car + driver in Daju to get all the way to Baoshan? Or would hiring one in Mingyin be a better option?

2) After overnighting in Baoshan, I have three days to get to Lugu Hu and enjoy it. On the fourth I need to take the bus back to Lijiang. The trip via Fengke and Labo looked great because of the scenary and the Pumi and Mosuo villages on the way. Plus the hotspring north of Yongning would be a nice way to relax after the road. There probably isn't any public transportation though... Any way to hire a car to do this, at a reasonable price (though what that would be, I have no idea)? Or is there another, better option that doesn't involve getting back to Lijiang?

I do speak Chinese so if it is feasible (availability of a car + driver), I should be able to do it. I just do not want to get stuck in Daju or in Baoshan...
