Food and Blossom
Hi,I'm coming to Korea at the begining of April, there are two things that I love to do when I'm away: hike and enjoy the food. Can anyone recommend the best place to:
1. Sample street food
2. Do a cookery course (one that doesn't only do Kimchi)
3. Do anything else food related?
Also, is there a blossom tree festival or a good place to go and see blossom trees (I hope I'll be there at the right time!)
Thank you!

The first thing you should do is familiarize yourself with Hangul, the Korean alphabet. It's pretty easy, and it will help you either on the trail or looking for a place to eat.The Koreans do great things with duck - so try and seek out duck bulgogi. Also different kinds of noodle dishes such as kalguksu, sujebi, and kongguksu.
To get you started, here is a Food Tour of Seoul from the Visit Seoul website. Looking this over will give you a good idea of the kinds of experiences you will encounter. The markets are your best bet for street food. Outside of the markets, carts out in the middle of the sidewalk tend to offer the same three or four items everywhere and are not particularly good.:
