KAZBEGI TO GROZNY

Hello

I read here in the forum that the border between Georgia and Russia close to Kazbegi had been opened to all nationalities...I would like to know if anyone who has crossed this border could tell me if there is public transportation (taxi or minibus) from the border to Vladikavkaz.

Is Ossetia and Grozny worth a quick visit????

You cannot cross the border on foot, but there are shared taxis leaving from the Didube bus station in Tbilisi to Vladikavkaz/Mineralnye Vody.

I have read about that somewhere...I could probably hire a car to go to Vladikavkaz and from there to continue to Grozny.

Don't know whether your question is still of interest but

  • do you have a Russian visa?
  • do you need an additional propusk for this region? (I don't know but it might be possible)
