Prashanthi Nilayam Ashram in Puttaparthi
Hello again,I am living in South Goa (nearest train station Chaudi) and am hoping to travel to Puttaparthi at the beginning of April to visit and stay in the Prashanthi Nilayam Ashram. Does anyone know how to get to Puttaparthi by train? And does anyone have any experience of this ashram? I've never been to one before and am a little nervous of what to expect.
Thank you!

Plenty of travel possibilities, by road and rail, from Bangalore. The ashram of Sai Baba is located there. He's a controversial figure, revered as God by his followers; branded a charlatan by his detractors. The ashram itself, I'm told, is squeaky clean and a magnet to many foreigners. Much of the money the ashram gets is ploughed back into educational institutions and hospitals.ADVERTISEMENT
