Honeymoon Thailand....Where to go?!

Hello,

Me and my fiance are planning on going to Bali and then to Thailand for our honeymoon but we have no idea where to go! I would LOVE some input! We will be in thailand for about 3 weeks

-We want to see some temples and any other cool attractions.
-We also want some relaxing beachy time
-We would like to see elephants but I do not want to see any animal abuse, so if that's not possible then we will forgo that
-We don't want to completely rough it.....we want to stay in hotels. If anyone know of cool places to stay, like huts or private cabins, that would be cool.

Anyways, we're completely lost so any ideas would be great!

Thanks!

Thailand definitely is divided up into the beach parts and the elephant/temple parts. Any pachyderm attractions in the southern, beachy areas might not be abuse per se, but the elephants definitely have the "what am I doing stuck in this tourist trap?" look to them.

Thailand has two beach expanses: the Andaman Sea in the west and the Gulf in the east. The Andaman is (in my opinion) more beautiful, and it's quieter; the Gulf has more of a party vibe. Check the weather forecast before you go: the rainy season comes three months earlier to the Andaman.

Once you've beached out, you can head north to hill country, with real elephants, real temples, stuff like that.
