I've been viewing but not posting here Kira and I'd have to agree, this is not the type of Travel Forum that holds much interest for me at this point either. I'm officially hanging up my Thorn Tree Hat as well.You've indeed provided great advice over the past years and TT seems to want to shoot themselves in the foot.

Yet another extremely helpful presence on this board, fed up and leaving. And there has been zero in the way of explanations for this fiasco. None of the explanations I have seen seems to be able to account for the shutdown, plus all the things going wrong with the site, plus the dumb "fixes." It shouldn't be a stressful experience to contribute here.Very sorry to see you go, Kira. The crickets are chirping ever louder around here.

It is indeed very sad to see a number of people who have been very helpful over the years to leave, not to mention that posts representing countless hours of effort by those posters have simply disappeared.TT already has something like 10% of the resources it used to have a couple of months ago, but it doesn't seem like the slide has stopped.
..and I would also echo kaz' plea to Kira and am021169, two posters I've followed with interest over the years, to not go...just yet.

The combination of ongoing disrespect from whoever it is running things here combined with the senseless elimination of the vast efforts and wisdom contributed by many over the years makes it difficult to summon up much enthusiasm. Why bother?It's possible things will turn around, given time. It's also perfectly possible they won't....and I'm increasingly on the side of "won't." You know what they say about the best predictor of the future being the past?
