15Just my 2 cents --- having lived my life along the East Coast.... From Orlando drive up to Charleston - forget Atlanta ... you are missing nothing and terrible traffic!! But... along the way be sure to stop at Amelia Island, Fl - really cute town to walk around and beautiful... good lunch spot about 3 hrs from Orlando... 1.5 hours or so north of there stop at Savannah, GA! It is a great overnight stop! Great nightlife... live music and waterfront shopping area. 20 mins from there is a little island Tybee Island. Great beach with amazing tidal pools. From there its an easy drive to Charleston and up the coast.

16But they wish to drive the Blue Ridge Parkway ... which makes Atlanta logistically better, no?

18You're taking the train from Toronto to Niagara Falls, yes? This is easy. There is a $3 shuttle from the train to the falls. You also don't really need to stay overnight unless you want to do a lot of activities there. You can see a lot of stuff during the day and fly out of Buffalo in the evening. If you're doing this in the summer, there is a bus for $2 or so from the US side of the falls to the airport (45 min ride).

19Yes I suppose we are (although we didn't know of such a thing.) Would it be easier and cheaper for us to just drive from Toronto to Niagara Falls?
I presume there will be little hassle in crossing the Canadian side to the US side? Also, if we do not catch the bus from the US side of the falls to the airport, are there any other options? We were thinking of driving to Boston to save money on flights.
As for the rest of our itinerary, are there any other tips, with the focus being on Day 3 to Day 11? Thank you very much!

And do not underestimate the traffic around Brunswick.

Thank you. We will try to take that in mind.
We haven't priced the driving but we thought about picking up another car from the US side of Niagara Falls to drive to Boston.
Also, you discouraged us from going to Cape Cod. If that's so, where would you recommend us to go in Boston if we are looking for a good beach and some delicious (affordable) seafood. Thank you!

23Are you doing this in the summer? That's the only time beach makes any sense on the east coast. There are beaches near NYC. You can take the train from NYC to Long Island for example.
Chowhound.com is a good forum for food recommendations. Here's a thread on Boston seafood: http://chowhound.chow.com/topics/879264

25I don't want to especially be a wet blanket wovenwaters, but it is quite unseemly (it seems to me) to ask punters on here how their trips have gone. If they wish to report back - either about their trip in general, or hopefully, how the advice from here helped them - then that is their prerogative ... not something that should be solicited.
I concede I might be very old-fashioned about these things.
