ATMs in Costa Rica
I have read that ATM's can give either Colones or Dollars. Is this true? Also, do they charge extra fees for cards from US banks?2
There is a minimal charge at CR banks, it is YOUR Bank that charges you for NON Network Fees and Foreign Transactions Fees. Some can be $6 per transaction for Non Network and 4%-18% Foreign Transactions fees, so do your homework. I have a flat Non Network fee of $2 and no Foreign Transactions fee Debit Card.USA Banks can be a huge rip off. Chase, BOA & Citi are all $$$.
