That's really funny, Vinny. A good find. On a whim, I sent to find no smoking and diesel fuel in Arabic.

No smoking - ممنوع التدخين

Diesel fuel - أ. وقود الديزل

I notice the last word in the article is "fail" used as a noun. That is the third time I have noticed that recently. So what happened to "failure"? when did "fail" become a noun to replace "mistake" or "error"?

I know language evolves, but it just doesn't look right to me.

I would say about the year 2000, bjd. It's an internet thing, about the same era as "All your base are belong to us." But my date could be way off.

All your base are belong to us is older (1991). Wikipedia traces "fail" (or "epic fail") back to 2003.

Thanks, shilgia -- I had no idea what that base business was.
